Utilizing a world class team of physicians, engineers, and consultants, Summit Access designs, manufactures, and commercializes inventive solutions to address critical physician and patient needs in the interventional field.
Summit Access launched its flagship product, the MicroTaper™ Safety Introducer Set, in the United States in 2015. Originally conceptualized by two global leaders in interventional radiology, Summit Access continues to work closely with health care professionals to create an exceptional line of medical devices to create intuitive and streamlined solutions for use in interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, and vascular surgery procedures.
Lee has over 30 years of progressive experience in innovation, product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and business management, with particular focus on single-patient-use medical devices. By combining individual effort and effective business team leadership, he has achieved outstanding results throughout his career at Summit Access, CIRCA Scientific, GE Healthcare, Vital Signs, and Marquest Medical Products. He has over 20 combined issued and pending patents for anesthesia, respiratory, vascular access, biopsy, temperature monitoring, and sharps safety devices.
LeRoy brings over 23 years of engineering experience in the medical device industry to Summit Access, including significant and valuable experience gained at Vital Signs (GE Healthcare) where he was involved in manufacturing, engineering management, research and development management, and as automation project manager, where he oversaw the installation of a $6 million automation system. Prior to Vital Signs, LeRoy worked for J&J/ Ethicon Endosurgery, Inc. in the manufacturing systems development of endoscopic devices. He holds several patents in the medical device field and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.
Fred is the Quality Assurance Manager for Summit Access. Prior to joining Summit Access, Fred worked in the area of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for 15+ years for various medical device manufacturers (Gambro USA, Vital Signs, Inc., and Marquest Medical Products). His experience in the medical device field encompasses quality control, design, and testing. Fred is a graduate of Valparaiso University and has achieved Quality Engineer and Quality Auditor ASQ certifications.
